What we are looking for:
We are looking for a Human Resources Officer to join our People team. This is a newly created position reporting into our Chief People Officer. We have offices in Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne and Manila and this role will be based in our Sydney head office. This is an exciting opportunity to support HR operations and contribute to a positive workplace culture across our growing team.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- HR Systems and Processes - maintain and improve HR systems and processes, covering the full employee lifecycle from recruitment onboarding to offboarding.
- Support Head of Talent Acquisition with ad-hoc tasks when required.
- Manager Guidance and Support - provide guidance to managers on day-to-day HR matters and escalate complex employee relations issues to HR leadership when required.
- Employee Lifecycle Management - support ongoing HR initiatives such as engagement surveys, performance appraisals, onboarding, offboarding, and other administrative HR activities.
- HR Administration and Compliance - ensure HR practices comply with Company policies, procedures, and relevant employment legislation, while maintaining accurate employee records and documentation.
- Employee Experience, Engagement & Social Impact - support initiatives that boost employee engagement, nurture a positive workplace culture, and create meaningful social and community impact.
To be successful in this role you must have the following:
- Proven experience in a Human Resources role, ideally across HR operations.
- A relevant tertiary degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to champion projects and manage multiple priorities.
- Positive, inclusive, and collaborative mindset.
- Confident in challenging the status quo and driving continuous improvement.
- Skilled at building relationships and initiating meaningful conversations.
- Keen interest in social impact and contributing to initiatives that make a difference in the community.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
